"LUCKY
13" EV RALLY : Oral Presentation Question
"McDonald's is installing a
limited of EV Charging outlets at its restaurants.
Do you think this is a practical way to
increase the use of electric vehicles or merely
a "greenwash"? Do you think that
this program will change consumer buying
behavior?"
RESEARCH: How many charging outlets are
being installed? Where are they located?
Exactly how would the program work? (Google
Project Get Ready in Raliegh)
Many malls & businesses added charging
outlets for EV's a few years ago - did these
help the businesses? - or the popularity of
EV's? Think about doing a school or
community survey - would people change from
Burger King to McDonald's because
McDonald's was being "green"? If more
places installed charging outlets would it
have a positive impact on the public's
acceptance of EV's? Keep track of your sources
as you must turn in three (3) copies of
your abstract when your team does their Oral
Presentation.
PRESENTATION: Once you have your content,
devise an interesting and novel way to
present the information. A skit, a debate,
a panel discussion, - use your imagination.
Develop it with the help of your drama,
debate or English teacher and the guidelines
set out in the *
Bonus Points List.
AWARDS: This year cash prizes will be
awarded to the three schools that have the most
Bonus Points! First place is $150, Second
